An Amazing Jamaican Holiday

Our trip to the pristine beaches of Ocho Rios in Jamaica was so amazing that we have already decided to head back there the next opportunity we get, probably this winter. We had booked rooms at the Beaches Boscobel Resort and Golf Club. The kids were thrilled to stay here. They enjoyed every minute at the Pirates Island Water Park. This water park had an aqua play area called Treasure Isle which had over a dozen water slides for kids. I was attracted towards the sea creature themed décor of the place but the kids were oblivious to this and spent most of their time screaming their heads off on the speed slide. It was really difficult to convince them to spare time for lunch.

The Kid’s Camp of the hotel was the best part of the hotel. It gave us the opportunity to leave our kids in safe hands and enjoy our own vacation. I choose to settle under the sun on the pristine beaches but my husband decided to try the swim-up bar. Later, along with a few other guests he too joined me on the pristine beaches, only to play volleyball.

The day my daughter shared one of her almost crumbled cookies that she had baked herself was truly unforgettable. Apparently with the help of the Cookie Monster and Mr. Baker she had made ‘zillions’ of cookies. She had even managed to convince someone to click her photos while baking just to prove that she had baked the cookies herself. There were also photos of her new best friends, Abby Cadabby and Zoe, from Sesame Street, for her school friends.

Jamaica appealed to my adventurous side and I managed to windsurf, kayak, and scuba diving as often as possible. My favorite was the hydrobike. Personally however one thing I enjoy the most is watching the mannerism and behavior of other people. The pristine beaches of Ocho Rios were filled with interesting people from Europe and Asia.

Now that I am back I can’t wait to show off my perfectly tanned skin to my friends. The treatments at the Red Lane Spa have done wonders to my skin. Now I bet its easy for anyone to understand why all of us are heading back to Jamaica this winter as well.
