Hopefully Catching Companionship Made to Last in the USA
You guys know I bottle things up inside, ’cause its hard to date at my age. Here’s the scoup, this morning I ate a whole bag of Oreos. To ease the pain of loneliness, for once. That actually happened. Does that tell you anything? Actually, that’s when I seriously considered getting out to date in North Dallas.
I already knew the solution. Figured I’d boost my dating life thru Great Expectations Denver. Definitely sounds like a plan. The reason I mention my dating woes: While eating corn on the cob at little Brent’s Easter egg hunt in Dallas yesterday, Mom asked me if I have settled down with the love of my life. They sure have nerve. Anyway, I looked up at them and yelled, “I’m eating here, and no.”
Even The Old Tooter (aka: grandpa) opining on the topic of my companionship situation. I joked to the family gang: “Dating isn’t for me, but what do you know about dating?”
Can you believe this? Each one of them scoffed. Irritated, I went to the gym because the dating pressure was too much. I still have no idea what to do! I would have learned more by asking my son. Chuck, who was a fellow Ram in high school (go Rams!) advised that I join Great Expectations. I said, “Sure, whatever.” What a relief. I especially enjoy this dating service full of fun and desirable Dallas singles.
When I started, dating events were a novel thing to me. I was a bit nervous at first, that I spilled a glass of wine on my blazer. My faux pas couldn’t put an end to us from enjoying ourselves. That night I enjoyed was a happy hour not to forget. The one cool thing that really struck me were the attractive, single women.
It’s been a pleasure to party at these amazing singles events in Dallas, I rubbed elbows with some great people that obviously feel as excited as I am when it comes to dating. Don’t know why I ever let so many people give me a hard time about living the bachelor’s life after all these years. Wonderfully enough, mingling in Dallas with Great Expectations is my pleasure and just what I’ve been looking for.
